Philips HDI 5000 SonoCT

It’s better than ever, inside and out—the new Philips HDI 5000 system brings together new ergonomics, a boost in processing power and the revolutionary technologies of the HDI 5000 system.

Third-generation SonoCT imaging brings this unmatched image quality to our tightly-curved array transducers, the C8-4v for endovaginal exams, and the C8-5 for pediatric applications. And the latest generation of XRES extreme resolution imaging is supported on virtually all imaging transducers.

Along with the full range of HDI broadband transducers, other HDI technologies also on the new Philips HDI 5000 system are Panoramic Imaging, 3D Ultrasound, MicroFine Imaging, Tissue Harmonic Imaging, and more.

The new Philips HDI 5000 system is more powerful than ever. With a significant increase in processing power, system response is twice as fast with mode switching in half the time. This increased capability is designed for the latest generation of SonoCT and XRES imaging.

Now processing up to 9,216 channels per image frame with 170 db dynamic range, the HDI 5000 system supports the latest technologies, including acquiring 9 lines of sight in SonoCT mode, and compounding them in real time – for images with exceptional clarity.

High Definition Imaging (HDI), synonymous with leading edge diagnostic ultrasound, combines the flexibility and agility of an all-digital broadband beamformer with revolutionary software control. It allows the addition of new and advanced imaging capabilities to streamline exams and provide more diagnostic information for the clinician.

A fully articulating monitor, with an integrated handle, facilitates optimum positioning during exams. Head and eye movements are minimized, and neck and shoulder stress is reduced. Integrated foot and palm rests promote good posture, lessening fatigue and further reducing stress.

The new cart was designed for mobility. It includes additional chassis handles to aid in moving the system – in the imaging lab, down the hall, by the bed – wherever premium ultrasound is needed.
