Philips HD 11
High Definition Ultrasound Made Simple
Clinicians are demanding smaller, higher performing systems
specifically designed to meet their clinical and operational
challenges. The new Philips HD11 system provides an uncompromising
platform, plus advanced options, all in a highly mobile and
easy-to-use product.
HD Platform
It starts with our most versatile ultrasound platform. From its
digital broadband beamformer with proven SonoCT imaging to its
powerful XRES image processing, every HD11 system is built for High
Definition performance. This means enhanced edges and margins for
more sharply defined structures, with reduced noise and speckle, for
better visibility and contrast of even the smallest structures.

HD Options
The flexible HD11 platform empowers you to customize your system for
your clinical environment, with options ranging from stress echo to
panoramic imaging and contrast. It also allows more clinicians to
experience the growing clinical advantages of 3D/4D imaging, 3D
Fetal Echo STIC for evaluating fetal hearts during routine
obstetrical exams, as well as specialized requirements for breast,
transesophageal, pediatric, vascular, and musculoskeletal
ultrasound.
Supercomputer signal processing
With its high-speed, vector-based architecture, HD11 achieves
extraordinary computing power for exceptional spatial and temporal
resolution.
Patented Fusion Signal Processing uses parallel signal processing to
divide returning broadband signals into sub-bands and analyze each
individual component. These frequencies are then compounded and
optimized by patient criteria and the user?s need for resolution or
penetration.
The HD11 system?s software-based image forming supports faster
control panel selections, expanded automation capabilities such as
iSCAN, and complex image processing algorithms requiring millions of
calculations per second, for true High Definition imaging and color
Doppler performance.
Broadband beamforming
Broadband digital transducers and beamformer capture and
preserve the entire bandwidth of ultrasound signals to retain the
quantity and quality of vital tissue signatures.

|
With up to 9,216 digital
channels per image frame and advanced beam steering in SonoCT modes,
the HD11 beamformer acquires up to nine times more broadband tissue
information.
Extreme dynamic range expands the scope of signals upon which image
and flow data are based, from the strongest to the weakest, for
increased signal sensitivity and differentiation in all modes.
The system precisely steers and focuses ultrasound signals
containing broad frequency bandwidths to improve axial resolution.
The following
advanced modes and technologies are standard on every HD11 system:
2D with Pulse Inversion Harmonic Imaging, Philip?s patented method
for producing pure, broadband harmonic signals for superb grayscale
presentation.
3D imaging with multiplanar views, for qualitative freehand 3D
images and interactive visualization through three planes.
Adaptive Color Doppler, which automatically selects the optimal
Doppler or angio frequency for highly sensitive resolution, as well
as Color Power Angio technology for assessing amplitude and
direction of flow.
Pulsed wave and continuous wave Doppler with Adaptive Doppler
technology to boost weak signals and reduce noise, and high PRF
capability for measuring higher velocities than ordinary pulsed
Doppler ultrasound.
Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI), including Color TDI to assess
direction and timing of myocardial function, and pulsed wave TDI for
velocity mapping of vessel wall motion and cardiac tissue. |
